#Let Freedom Ring
So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire.
Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York.
Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania!
Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado!
Let freedom ring from the curvaceous peaks of California!
But not only that; let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia!
Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee!
Let freedom ring from every hill and every molehill of Mississippi.
From every mountainside, let freedom ring.
Martin Luther King Jr.

Kindness
A word of thought for today: Kindness - "How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and the strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these."

"I come to the office each morning and stay for long hours doing what has to be done to the best of my ability. And when you’ve done the best you can, you can’t do any better. So when I go to sleep I turn everything over to the Lord and forget it." -Harry S. Truman

Florida Hospital Waterman Awarded an “A” for Patient Safety by Hospital Safety ScoreSM
Florida Hospital Waterman Awarded an “A” for Patient
Safety by Hospital Safety ScoreSM
Tavares,
FL: Florida Hospital Waterman
was honored with an “A” Hospital Safety ScoreSM by The
Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit run by employers and other
large purchasers of health benefits. The Hospital Safety ScoreSM was
calculated under the guidance of The Leapfrog Group’s Blue Ribbon Expert Panel
using publicly available data on patient injuries, medical and medication
errors, and infections. U.S. hospitals were assigned an A, B, C, D, or F for
their safety.
“It’s
The Leapfrog Group’s goal to give patients the information they need and
deserve before even entering a hospital,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO
of The Leapfrog Group. “We congratulate the hospitals that earned an ‘A’ and we
look forward to the day when all hospitals in the U.S. will earn the highest
scores for putting patient safety first.”
Calculated
under the guidance of The Leapfrog Group’s nine-member Blue Ribbon Expert
Panel, the Hospital Safety Score uses 26 measures of publicly available
hospital safety data to produce a single score representing a hospital’s
overall capacity to keep patients safe from infections, injuries, and medical
and medication errors.
“We
are very excited about Florida Hospital Waterman’s “A” grade, which is
reflective of our ongoing commitment to keeping patients safe by providing the
highest quality of care,” says Ken Mattison, President and CEO. “It is
most gratifying to be recognized in this way for fulfilling our mission of
extending the healing ministry of Christ.”

on how the public can protect themselves and loved ones during a hospital stay.

Thoughtful Word for Today is #Attitude
Attitude- "Words can never adequately convey the incredible impact of our attitudes toward life. The longer I live the more convinced I become that life is 10 percent what happens to us and 90 percent how we respond to it."-Charles Swindoll

Appreciation
We are grateful to the Lake County community, and are blessed with a strong infrastructure. Firefighters and law enforcement respond quickly to our emergencies. Local government plans for our future with roads, schools, and whatever we need to meet our growth. There are myriads of other unsung heroes who keep life going here in Lake County. Our employees here at Florida Hospital Waterman are part of that group who provide a safe environment for those who are fighting disease. Florida Hospital Waterman is taking this week to show appreciation to our employees that bless us with the skills of their hands and the compassion of their hearts each day. Thank you for what you do!

Teamwork and Employee Appreciation
"We" is such a good word, so much more gets accomplished and it is more fun when we work together as a team. Ecclesiastes says, "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work, if one falls down his friend can help him up". It takes work to keep the relationships and a team in good order, but it is worth it - aside from productivity its just more fun. Florida Hospital Waterman celebrates and appreciates its employees this week who all are important parts of our TEAM here.

#Quote for Monday.
"Certain of our blessings can never change. The important things of life will not perish. In whatever brave new world emerges from this chaos, homes will be created, good deeds will be done and sacrifices will be made. God will be reverently worshipped in many a church and chapel. Hospitals, libraries and colleges will be organized and endowed. The greatest things will endure - faith, hope and love, and the moral nature in man." - Claude M. Fuess

National Day of Prayer - Prayer For All
The news is full of things in our world that sadden us. For most, our personal news is both good and bad. That is life on planet Earth. Bad things happen to good people - Good things happen to bad people and everything in between on the spectrum. Best news is we have a God who has promised to never leave us or forsake us. He has promised to be with us in the good times and bad- that means today whatever is happening in your life. So take courage this day and every day.

Life is Precious...
Each day of life is a precious gift from our God. Sometimes we take life for granted, but a hospital experience usually reminds us of the truth-that this precious gift is fragile and must be cared for. Take time to think of ways you can treasure our health and to do our best to treat our bodies with the respect they deserve & appreciate the pleasure of being alive today. Life is Precious!
